Dan Seals House Party in Illinois Sunday,
June 18, 2006Dan Seals attended a House
Party in Lincolnshire, Illinois where he met with voters and had a spirited question
and answer session. Seals is challenging Mark Kirk in the 10th Congressional District
of Illinois in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago - a district that voted for Kerry,
Gore and Clinton in the Presidential elections. Dan, who has worked in
Congress and the Department of Commerce, as well as in the business world, emphasized
that while Kirk talks like a moderate he is, in fact, part of the Republican leadership
that is trying to implement its very conservative agenda on the country. Dan mentioned
Kirk's support for cuts in Medicaid and Student Loans as the federal budget deficit
has grown. Seals concern over health care was especially apparent in the question
and answer session as he explained the problems with the current prescription
drug plan for seniors. At the event, Blue Catapult presented Dan with
a check as an adopted candidate of the PAC.
