Blue Catapult Candidate Darcy Burner holds Reception
Wednesday, March 15, 2006

On March 15 Blue Catapult joined with the Woman's National Democratic Club in Washington, DC to hold a reception for Democratic candidate Darcy Burner. At the reception, Darcy explained her strategy for winning Washington State's 8th Congressional District. She also took questions about an array of issues from those in attendance. Everyone remarked about how impressed they were with both her ability to connect with people and her understanding of the issues.

Darcy Burner, the sole Democrat running in Washington's 8th Congressional District, recently left Microsoft to work for policies that will help families who work hard and play by the rules get the opportunities they deserve.

Darcy grew up in a military family. She worked hard in school, graduated at the top of her class and put herself through Harvard. After graduation, Darcy spent a dozen years in the high tech sector and recently as an executive at Microsoft.

She is a successful business woman, community leader and mother. Darcy and her husband Mike have a three year old son, Henry, and live outside Carnation, Washington.
