Lively Event for Phyllis Busansky at Tabaq Bistro Lounge

Monday, June 19, 2006, Blue Catapult PAC hosted a successful fundraiser for Phyllis
Busansky, Democratic House candidate for Florida's 9th Congressional District.
She will, almost certainly, be running against Gus Bilirakis, the son of Michael
Bilirakis. The fun setting of a contemporary
lounge in Washington's historic U Street Corridor brought a variety of people
to show their support for one of Blue Catapult's newest adopted candidates. The
intimacy of the lounge also allowed Phyllis to speak to her supporters directly.
We were honored by the appearance of DCCC Chairman
Rahm Emanuel of Illinois and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida.
Both expressed their strong support for Phyllis and their optimism for her victory
in November.

Phyllis Busansky was the Chairman of the Hillsborough County Commission and served
as the first Executive Director of Florida's welfare-to-work agency.
She
is on the faculty of the School of Public Health at Columbia University where
she teaches a seminar in leadership and coalition building.
